A warm welcome on this page by Dimitris Kyriakidis
Contact us from anywhere in the world to help you with online guitar and/or theory lessons or coaching for total beginners to experienced players. We also provide face to face guitar lessons at a suitably equipped studio.
Important note!
An expert provides learning tips that significantly speeds up the process of learning. This results in better value for money in relation to the service of less experienced teachers as you need to pay for fewer lessons to get to a higher level in a shorter time!
"You are clearly a very talented guitarist and arranger in classic rock
style.", "You are a very very talented composer as well as a gifted guitarist."

Dimitris Kyriakidis (the owner of this web site) is also an electric guitar
instructor at The University of Salford. He is also a member of the
EMI Production Music UK pool of composers. He has had the opportunity
to collaborate in his first album with Goran Edman (ex vocalist for
Europe's guitarist J. Norum and Y. Malmsteen) and bassist Terry
Gregory ex bassist for Steve Hackett (Genesis). He has collaborated
briefly as a producer with a gentleman who had top positions at A&R
for Sony, BMG, RCA, etc. He is a graduate from Salford University
with a BA(Hons) in Band Musicianship and has a Master in Composition
from the University of Leeds.
Dimitris has been providing through Doncaster Guitar Tuition guitar and theory lessons in South Yorkshire and worldwide (via Skype, Zoom, Facebook etc.) with particular attention to quality of teaching, always with a warm and friendly approach as he understands very well how it feels stepping out of your comfort zone by trying to learn something new.
Our
commitment and goal is to make the pathway to great guitar playing as
smooth and as easy as possible and that is certainly not achievable
in group teaching. Students who come to us after having been exposed
to group tuition can clearly see this and easily confirm it if
asked. Why? Because, in contrast to private lessons, a tutor teaching
a group of guitarists cannot focus 'exclusively' on a student's
strengths and weaknesses to help in the best possible way. Hence
there is little value for money in the long run. Our slogan is
'Tuition Designed for Guitar, Knowledge Engineered to Last'. This is
why we have been refusing over the years to offer a more profitable
for us group tuition. Playing in a group is great, but not as the
main way to learn, only as a complimentary and as an opportunity to
apply what a student learns in the main guitar or theory lessons. We
welcome beginners, amateurs or professionals as students of all ages
from South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and Lincolnshire have been clients for several years. Guitar students visit the studio from Doncaster, Barnsley,
Pontefract, Rotherham, Wakefield, Mexborough, Worksop, Scunthorpe,
Bawtry, Edenthorpe, Armthorpe, Tickhill, Rossington and their
surroundings.
Dimitris Kyriakidis through his teaching at Doncaster
Guitar Tuition and a UK University has developed experience in providing coaching to guitarists
from bands playing original music or covers mainly in the field of
advanced improvisation, theory and technique. Get the advantage of a
well structured guidance/coaching that can lead you to a higher
level.
Some of our students have been offered places at UK
Universities/Colleges.
The suggested lower age limit for having guitar lessons is that of a child who is in year 4 in school, although rare exceptions for year 3 can occur. There is no upper age limit. Most of our clients are adults.
We particularly welcome enquiries from adults of all ages/levels from beginners to guitarists who already have experience and play or have played in bands and want to improve some aspects of their playing.
